Teachers of the gifted are responsible for going beyond mastery of grade-level curriculum. They need to be able to “ratchet-up” the learning for students. This skill can be developed by learning how to upgrade grade-level curriculum TEKS objectives and pose appropriate advanced-level questions in any content area.
